MUNICH, June 14. A gang of men forcibly broke into the house of Ur. Schloegl, a well-known leader of Bavarian Catholics. They demolished the furniture and then beat Dr. Schloegl so unmercifully that he was sent to hospital. Fulfilling Herr Wagner’s remark that only Nazi soldiers had the right to ' walk the streets the Government in anticipation of Catholic demonstrations on Corpus Christi Day, June 15, has prohibited processions and meetings. Though the week-end brutalities ha.ve •provoked Herr Hitler’:? displeasure there has been no official inquiry or expression of regret.
