FITZROY DEFEATS QPUNAKE
The Oipunake Golf Club sent a team to Fitzroy during the week-end to play the return, fixture. Opunake suffered defeat by two matches. Following arc the results, Fitzroy players ..being mentioned first: J. R. Sutherland and C. Huxford v. J- N. Stephenson and H. Turner, lost 5 in the morning and were all square in the afternoon. J. S. Rollo and H. Jacks v. D. Fraser and ; G. Mcilvor, lost 4 and 3, won 2 and 1. S. J. Holden and C. Grainger v. L. M. Stephenson and D. Burton, ail square, lost 3. down. . F. Gorrio and H. W. Quickfall v. F. Hammond and F. Barraclougli, won 6 and 4, all square. - C. Hall and C. White v. E. Craig--head and O. Bowater, all square, won 1 up. J. Medbunst and H. S. Wagsta.ff v. A. J. Brennan and D. McCrone, won 5 and 3, won 6 and 5. L. Luscom'be and D. McKearney v. Watt and Mantey, won 3 and 2, lost 3 and 1.
A. K. Smart, v. B. S. Dudley, won 6 and 5, lost 1 up. Summary: Fitzroy 7. wins, Opnnake 5 wins; two games all square.

A popular fixture introduced on the programme of events for men of the To Ngutu ‘Golf Club was the match between the farmers and “the rest.” The first match was played on Saturday and a series of interesting contests resulted in a win for the “rest” by a margin of two matches, three being won, two lost and one squared. The results were:
Hollis and Luxton all. square with Todd and Stevenson; Penny and T. Betts 0 v. .11. Barclay and fl. Jilvetts I; (!. and R. Treeweek 1 v. J. Barelay and Watson 0; Oldfield and Sharp (i v. Sherwood and C. Good 1; O. Robertson and J. E. Meuli 0 v. G. Evotts and It. Robertson 1. Totals: Farmers I, “the rest” 3 and one all square.
MANGAMING I CLUB
The Manqamingi Golf Club played a bogey match during the week-end. D. Knuckev and Miss E. Jackson being the winners.

FOUR-BALL BOGEY
A senior and junior four-ball bogey match will be played by members of the Hawera Golf Club this week, the draw for to-morrow (Wednesday) being arranged as follow:
