SNOWFALL DURING' DANCE.
Owing to the unfavourable weather conditions, the dance field last week in aid of the Boys and Girls’ Clubs, did not draw the usual large attendance. However, a pleasant time was spent. Much excitement was caused i>y the fall or snow which occurred during the progress of the dance, a number participating in snowballing. Excellent music was supplied by Vinsons’ Orchestra, with extras by Mrs Malcolm (Opunake) and Miss B. Seed. Owing to the small number of int-.'es received for the waltz.ng competition, only a. first prize was given. The winners were Mr. MrC.indlish and MrMalcolm. Winners of the statue waixz were Mr. A. Thomas and Miss L. Tapp, while Mr. Judson and partner were the .Monte Carlo winners. Messrs Foreman (senr.) and JF. Guv, .were M’s.O.
PERSONAL. Mr and Mrs Ron Cleaver are at present spending a holiday in Auckland.
