MOTOR COLLISION.
A NARROW ESCAPE. (By Telegraph—Special to Star.) , WELLINGTON, Dec. 29. A narrow escape from serious injury was experienced by a party of motorists who were journeying from. New Plymouth to Wellington yesterday. ■ The car, which was driven by Mr A. E. R. Gilbert, swerved to avoid a fast moving car coming in the opposite direction, but a collision occurred, and Gilbert’s car was badly smashed. One of Gilbert’s three children was rather seriously cut by glass from a broken Mind screen, but ‘Mrs Gilbert escaped unhurt.
