TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT
STATEMENT BY MINISTER
“I cannot confirm it,”- declared the Hon.; J. G. Coates (Minister for Railu ays) yesterday when his attention was drawn to the report that Air. E Fav, son of Sir Sam Fay.' one of the Railway Investigation Commissioners is to take control of the operation branch of the railway service.
Mr. Coates hinted that there was a possibility of one of the visitino- railwaymen coming to stay in New Zealand ror about three months and another one For a longer period, but he could not say anything definite until lie had returned to Wellington, it was his intention, he . added, to issue a public statement on railway matters durum the. next few days. * ”
