The streets of Hawera were crowded this afternoon when “Father Christmas” made his appearance on a motor lorry to distribute hags of sweets and surprise, packets to the hundreds of his young Hawera gdmirers. So great was the crowd that it was considered positively ;danserqus to make any distribution in the streets, a'fid on this score an adioufhmeht was made to the Wiri+°r Show build in os, where the function was carried out under easier conditions.
