TROTTING CLUB.

OFFICIALS APPOINTED. FOR COMING SEASON. At a special general meeting of members of the Hawera Trotting Club, presided over last night by Mr B. McCarthy, regnaltions were adopted controlling the admission of persons to the racecourse, in accordance with section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908. At a committee meeting held afterwards the following officials were appointed lor the season:—Handieapper. Mr F. C. Thomas; starter, Mr A. Morse: lion, judge,' Mr J. Gray; timekeepers. Messrs F. C. Ferry, R. Hicks. W. Slattery, and T. F. Goddard; hon. veterinary surgeon, Mr A. B-ayly: hon. surgeons, Drs. J. Mc-Ghie and 'W. M. Thomson. The appointment of the lotalisator superiv.sor and the matter of privileges for catering and the licensed booth were left in the hands of the executive, with power to act.'
