MAORI WAR VETERANS.

DWINDLING AWAY. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION,) PALMERSTON N., Dec. 20. At the annual meeting of the Maori War Veterans’ Association the report of the executive stated that 64 Maori war pensioners died during the period from October 1 of last year to September 30 of this year. On the latter date the number drawing a pension was reduced to 560. A. return presented by the secretary showed that there were now only 126 members. The election of officers resulted: President, Sir O. Fergusson (subject to his consent) ; vice-president, Lieutenant Hirtzel; secretary, Major Garner.
