TAWHITI SCHOOL.

END OF THE YEAR CONCERT. An “end of the year” concert was held in the Tawhiti School on Friday last. The largest schoolroom was well filled with parents. The children had themselves arranged the programme, which, apart from the choruses, was entirely their own. The following was the programme submitted: Recitation, Rita Moore; chorus, “Happy Band of Children,” infants; piano solo, Ella Saunders- recitation, “Wishes,” Iris McDonald; dialogue, Standard VI. girls; chorus, “Lavender,” Standards 111. and IV. girls; piano solo, Pearl Toy; Highland fling, Myra Jackson; song, “Silver Lining,” Ken Brett and Joe Hall; recitation, “The Seasons,” Ella and Susie Saunders, Mollie McKinnon, Eila Gundesen; piano solo, Jack Silson ; recitation, Eila Gundesen; dialogue, Standard V. girls; song, “Jammy Face,” Betty Tonks; violin solo, Ken Gould; recitation, Patricia Healey; piano solo, Gwen Chadwick; chorus “Spring Time,” Standards 111., IV., V. and VI. girls. As a result of the effort about £4 was secured, and this will foe used to buy sweets, etc., for the children on breaking-up day (to-morrow).
