DOMINION’S NATURAL BEAUTY
IMPRESSES ENGLISHMEN. “The natural beauty and the holiday advantages of this country have been well impressed oh. many Englishmen,” stated a New Zealander who returned to Auckland by the Ruapehu on Monday after visiting the, Exhibition (reports the N.Z. Herald). “I know that 1 am only one of many who have tried to do a little in the publicity line. The Englishmen seemed to be particularly keen to learn all they could about the fishing, and I know at least three sportsmen who have expressed their intention of coming to New Zealand to indulge in this sport at the earliest opportunity. The New Zealander thought that in normal times New Zealand lacked sufficient publicity abroad. “I feel sure,” he said, “that if a publicity campaign were organised on a proper scale, the money spent would be more than repaid. All the Englishmen I met were obviously keen to learn all they could about the Dominion. The personal contract by Dominion visitors and English people during the Exhibition did an incalculable amount of good, and I think I am right in saying that the tourist taff'ic next year will show an appreciable increase.”
