EMPIRE BOWLS.

WELLINGTON CENTRE’S REMIT. (by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATiVKWELLINGTON, Dec. 10. The Wellington Rowfing Centre last night carried a motion that a remit be sent to the Dominion Council suggesting that teams be invited from Canada, Australia and South Africa to visit New Zealand in 1925, with the object of commencing annual interEmpire bowling tourneys. The mover stated that he had interviewed Sir Robert Stout and Lord Jellicoc on the matter, and they cordially approved the suggestion. A'gentleman in Australia had offered to give a cup valued at £SOO for competition, somewhat similar to the Davis Cup. The seconder of the motion, while not so optimistic as the mover as to the success of the scheme, believed it would be endorsed by the Dominion Council, and even if it could not be realised this year much good might ecme out of it.
