McDonald v. rowe. AN UNPOPULAR VERDICT. (BY TEI.EGKAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. INVERCARGILL, Dec. 9. Lackie McDonald (Dunedin), middleweight champion, met Vie. Rowe (Australia) in a 15-round bout to-night. The fight went the full distance and the result was given as a. draw, but the decision met with a mixed reception. McDonald led throughout, and although Rowe was very clever on the defence, McDonald’s extra aggressiveness was much in evidence.
