A PROFITABLE CONCERN. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT, Received Dec. 5, 11.5 a.m MELBOURNE, Dec'. 5. . For the year ended August SI last the Kauri Timber Company shows a ne|i profit of £73,873. An interim dividend, of eight per cent, was paid in Tune, and it is now proposed to make a similar distribution at the same rate. From the balance brought forward the sum of £8299 will be transferred to fire, insurance, consequential on the loss, to the fund. The balance of £20,000 will be placed in the Dividend Equalisation Fund.
