JUGO-SLAVS AND GREEKS. INFLUX TO AUSTRALIA. GOVERNMENT’S POLICY. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. (Received Dec. 5, 11.25 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Dee. 5. With reference to a statement that there was a danger of a considerable influx into Australia of Jugo-Slavs, Greeks and other southern Europeans, Mr Bruce stated that arrangements have been made that passport vises for Australia, in favour of Jugo-Slavs and Greeks should not exceed a hundred monthly of each nationality. Preference would be given to those who have a knowledge of'English and possess some capital or intend to proceed to Australia for the purpose of joining close relatives.
