MURDERS GERMAN WOMAN.
BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION- COP YRIGHT (Received Dec. 1, 1.25 p.m.) COLOGNE, Nov. 30. Sentence of death by courtmartial, imposed on Private Halliday, formerly of the Cameron Highlanders, for the murder of a German woman, has been commuted to 15 years’ penal servitude. Accused, who w,as.- automatically dismissed from the service with ignominy when convicted, is being transferred to England.—Reuter.
