BLACKBERRY PEST.
LARGE BONUS OFFERED. FOR BEST EXTERMINATOR. (BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, Nov. 28. The Government in the Gazette offers a bonus of £IOOO for an efficient, practical and economical method of exterminating/ blackberry otherwise than by cultivation or farm management methods, such as seeding, tree planting or live stock manuipulation. Tests are to be made on areas of infested land of not less than one acre, and applicants are to state the sum required for rights in New Zealand or the royalty to be paid for the use of the method.
