FRANCE WRATHFUL.
EXTRA EDITION,
LEAGUE OF NATIONS. EGYPTIAN QUESTION. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT (Received Nov. 27, 1.50 p.m.) PARIS, Nov. 26. The papers are still devoting columns to events in Egypt, and are harping on the League of Nations, in which connection one journal notes that nearly the whole British press is opposed to intervention by the League. France will not forget the pact when Britain intervenes in European questions wherein French claims are at s.take. Pertinax, writing in the Echo de Paris, suggested that the time had come to retemper the Anglo-French Alliance and discuss the questions of the Cologne zone, demilitarisation in the Rhineland, and measures to be taken to guard against the Spanish withdrawal from Morocco.—Reuter.
