STRATFORD SHOW.

OPENING DAY. FINE DISPLAY. Conditions were not all that could be desired for the opening of this popular show, blit there was a satisfactory attendance of the oublic to see the exce lent entry of ' cattle and sheep collected in the pens, and formed one of the best displays seen oh the Stratlord ground. In addition there was a very large field for the jumping events. A special attraction, too, is the North Island buck jumping competition. The show grounds presented this morning an appearance of festivity and: hustle. Bunting, is suspended from many vantage points, and the general effect is very attractive. A great deal of work has been done .to the dining rooms, and the result is most favourable. The Stratford Show ? ? er t stmast o,pL Stratford A and P. Association is lastly proud of the reputation which has- been gamed in regard to this important feature of the show. All arrangements have been made thoroughly and efficiently by the officials, and judging went ahead ranidly all day <or this result great credit is due to the president, the secretary and committees. To-morrow will be People’s Dav, and jt is expected there will be a* very .arge attendance. The jumping and >tner competitions will prove a very rreafc attraction. * *
