BOXING.
THE CENTRE SYSTEM. REGARDED AS A FAILURE. (.BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATIONWELLINGTON, Nov. 26. At a meeting of the council of the Boxing Association, the report of the special committee which considered the centre system regarded it as a failure, and has decided to hold a special meeting in Wellington on December 21 to amrtid the rules by allowing local associations to account direct to the council, and in lieu of centre executives to appoint' a centre officer to advise and assist the.council. Other amendments as to finance and championships will also be proposed.
