OPUNAKE CROQUET CLUB.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) The annual meeting of the Croquet club was held on Friday evening. The balance sheet showed a credit balance of £8 10s 9. . It was resolved to put in hand further urgent work in connection with the new -lawn. It is expected that this will be in order for play to com-. 1 mence early in the new year. It was decided to obtain quotations for erection of a small building that for the meantime would serve as a pavilion,' afterwards to be used as a store room. A number. of new members were elected and with the loyal support of the present membership the future of theclub looks bright.
