UNGUARDED BULLION.
BOXES QF GOLD STOLEN. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT. Received Nov. 24, 3.15 p.m. CAPETOWN, Nov. 23. On October 27 twenty-four boxes of Rhodesian raw gold, valued at £40,000, were despatched to Capetown, where on Gct-obpr 31 they were shipped by fhe steamer Armadale for London. On arrival there it was discovered that three boxes of gold had been replace with lead. _ There were no signs of the bpxes having bpen tampered with before being consigned to the railway.— Reuter.
