GOVERNMENT WINS. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT, Received Nov. 22,. 12.10 p.m. LONDON, Nov, 21. Michael Egan, Government party caii’di'date, obtained a substantial majority at the Cork City by-election, for the Dail, polling 27,021 against Lord Mayor French, the Republican candidate, who polled 14,703, votes. East Cork seat was also wbii by the Government party, whose candidate, M. L. N.oonan, polled 17,717, and Michael Walsh (Republican) 12,399.
