CHEMICAL WORKS ABLAZE.
FUMES AFFECT FIREMEN. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION-COPYRIGHT SYDNEY, Nov. 19. ' A lire at Elliott Bros.’ l wholesale chemists’ works at Rozelle caused heavy damage. The fire spread over an area of several acres, but the firemen by great efforts prevented the outbreak from involving* the whole-works, the blaze being confined to the packing plant. Fumes from the heavy stocks of chemicals and the poor water supply made the fire fighters’ task a heavy one. Several firemen had to he treated for the effects of fumes.
