ASSAULT ON A CHILD.
MAN SENT TO PRISON. (by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. „ ■ BLENHEIM, Nov. 18. Edmund Foley, aged 35 years, pleaded guilty in the Police Court to-day to a charge pf assaulting ; a ten-year-old girl in the vicinity of Ferry Bridge, Spring Creek, yesterday morning. A sentence of two months* imprisonment with hard labour was imposed.
