A POSITION OFFERING.
AT HAWERA HOSPITAL. RESIDENT MEDICAL OFFICER. Consequent upon the resignation of Dr. R. G. B. Sinclair as resident medical officer at the Haw'era Hospital, some difficulty has evidently been experienced in filling the position. The secretary of the board (Mr C. M. Haggett) in his report to the board to-day stated: “Dr W. K. Hamilton, who w'as appointed, wired declining appointment, and extensive enquiries were made for another man without success. Finally Dr. N. B. Gunn w’rote from Wellington offering his services, and the medical superintendent, being prepared to accept him, Dr. Gunn was offered the position. He arrived on Monday, the 10th inst. The conditions of his appointment are the same as those authorised by the board to be offered to other men, but it is understood that the appointment terminates at the end of thjft year.”
