• (From Our Own Correspondent.) ; CHILDREN’S FANCY' DRESS ; ' BALL. '. • The children’s fancy dress ba.lL held on Friday,v. November 7, was, as in the past; distinct success. The dresses were , numerous and reflected great credit on- the mothers of the childien. 1 lie music for the children was played by Mrs. Neil.son, extras being played by Miss Riley. After supper the floor wa.s taken by' the adults, music being supplied by Miss Sinclair, Mr. Rrophy and Mr. Brunette. Extras were played by Mrs. Julian, Miss Riley, Mr. Brooker and Mr. Evans.
During • the evening Mr. Riley (chairman of the school committee) thanked the musician and tiie ladies for the help they had given iri makfunction & success. » He also read the list of prize-winners, the fancy costumes being judged by Miss O linen and Mrs. Evans' in a very 1 capable manner. prizes were awarded as follows:—Girls over 12, Ist, Grace Sfj 1 *?" 1 “Lgmpdmde”; 2nd.
