The use of lucerne in the feeding of pigs is becoming increasingly popular, and the results registered are abundantly justifying the procedure. In most cases the swine are turned on to the growing fodder, but in others the practice is to cut the produce and to place it before the animals in various sorts of racks. One such, of a type much favoured by American hog raisers, is shown above.
