THE IRISH CONTEST. FIRST INTERNATIONAL MATCH. THE DOMINION TEAM. After a spell during the week, a spell which means several days’ concentrated training, the All Blacks will take the field at Dublin to-morrow afternoon for the fourteenth match of their tour. They are preparing for the first international fixture, that with Ireland, and it is interesting to observe that, a London cable received yesterday stated that 17 players are undergoing special training at the seaside iust out from the city. The cable further said that the All Blacks’ chances are favoured. From this it is obvious that from this 17 will be picked the final 15 to play Ireland to-morrow. The 17 are as follow : Full-hack: Nepia. Three-quarters: Steel, Svenson. Lucas, Hart. Five-eighths: Nicholls, Cooke. Half-hack: Dailey. Wing forward: Porter. Forwards: Donald, Irvine. Richardson, Masters, M. Brownlie, White, Cupples, Stewart. There is one three-quarter and one forward to he dropped. Hart has a great scoring record so far, and although there is a doubt about his. defensive work, he will probably he included. It is rather extraordinary that the four three-quarters are all wingers. Perhaps to-morrow it will he found that Lucas is standing down, making the line as follows: Steel, Svenson (centre! and Hart. As to who will he left out of the is a problem almost impossible to solve on the accounts of the matches so far cabled out. Stewart does not .appear to have played rnnnv games, and he may go out. But it is only guesswork.
