GIRL CHARGED. (by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, Oct. 23. At the Supreme Court Elsie Bidoes admitted concealment of birth at Paeron. She said she did not know she had done anything wrong. After perusing the Probation Officers’ report, Mr. Justice Herdman said it revealed a. condition of depravity astonishing in a girl. He granted probation for three years, on condition that the girl remained in the Salvation Army Home for twelve months, and thereafter took a position recommended by the adjutant, her amusements and conduct to be entirely to the satisfaction of Army officers.
