MOTOR VEHICLES BILL.
RECKLESS DRIVING. (BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON. Oct. 24. In the Legislative Council to-night Sir Francis Bell introduced amendments to clauses 27, 28 and 29 of the Motor Vehicles Bill dealing with the penalties for reckless driving and resultant bodily injury or death. The clauses were merely rearranged in new legal phraseology, and provision was made that no person shall, in respect of the same act or acts arising out of the same circumstances. be indicted for reckless or negligent driving and also for manslaughter.
