FRIGHTFUL CHOICE.
DEATH ON EITHER SIDE. LONDON, Oct. 12. Arthur Milligan, the driver of an overhead crane at the Middlesbrough steel works, was compelled to choose between jumping into molten metal or on to a red hot ingot of. steel, in order to escape from the burning crane. He jumped on to the steel ingot, and his body was frightfully burned. He died two hours later.
