THE WEATHER.
The Government Meteorologist telegraphed that for the 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day the indications are for southerly winds, strong to gale at times but decrciasing shortly. The weather will probably prove cold and showery. The barometer has a. rising tendency, but falling after about 24 hours. Seas moderate; tides good.
