LAMBS DESTROYED. DEPARTMENTAL ACTION. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, Oct. 20. In consequence of a statement as to stoats and weasels killing lambs at Waimarino, the Agricultural Department is despatching an officer to make exhaustive enquiries. Mr. F. Nicol. farmer, of R angataua, reported that he had lost heavily, having found 23 lambs dead in one morning, and his 'complaint is corroborated by four neighbours.
