ANGER IN JAPAN. TOKIO, Sept. 30. The Osaka Mainichi scatchingly denounces the “insolent manoeuvres” of the American fleet, which, it says, is “plainly defending Hawaii with Australia’s aid against Japan in January. ’ ’ The Opposition parties are denouncing the proposed cut in Japan’s army, pointing out that it “undermines Japan’s diplomatic principles.” The American Naval Department in June last announced that the entire United States fleet would mobilise for manoeuvres off the Hawaiian Island in January, 1925.
