In the two actions in which Emmanuel Myersori, a Sydney property owner, claimed in each case £IO,OOO damages for alleged libel against Smith’9 newspapers, Ltd., the jury gave plaintiff a verdict for a farthing damages. The Judge refused the plaintiff’s application for a certificate of costs. The cases were very protracted, and it is stated that the total costs are between £20,000 and £25,000.
