The Hindu and Moslem riots continue throughout Northern India, and are causing very grave anxiety to, the authorities. There have been' a number of clashes, causing serious loss of life. The recent fltrods have caused widespread damage and great loss of life among both human beirigs and cattle in various parte of India. Tlie areas are slowly recovering, though distress continues to he acute. Seventy people and thousands of cattle perished in the floods in the Puhjaub, and 100,900 acres of _ agricultural land are under water. Two hundred villages were wholly or partly destroyed.—Svdney Sun Cable.
