PUBLIC NOTICES. NEW ZEALAND DAIRY PRODUCE CONTROL BOARD. To Owners and Exporters of all Butter and Cheese to be Exported from New Zealand. 'JLHE above-named Board hereby gives notice that on the. sixth day of October, 1924, it by resolution determined to exercise limited control over the export of all Butter and Cheese which should from and after the date hereinafter mentioned be exported from New Zealand to any port on the East Coast of North America or any port in Great Britain or the Continent of Europe' (between Bordeaux and Hamburg both inclusive) to the extent and for the purpose. of requiring that all Butter and Cheese so exported should be insured under a marine policy, held and arranged by the Board, against all risks from any cause whatsoever (including war and strike risks, shortage of fuel and malicious damage). The said control it was resolved shall operate as from the 19th day of October, 1924, or such later date in such month on which the screw steamer “Karamea” shall commence her loading at Gisborne, and shall cease on the 31st day of August, 1925, and shall not apply to Butter or Cheese not shipped on or before that date. Shipments by the following steamers now r loading or about to load at ports in New Zealand are exempted from the operation of the said limited control, namely: s.s. “Maimoa,” s.s. f‘Mamari,” s.s. “Kaikoura,” s.s. “Rotorua,” s.s. “Port Caroline.” For and on behalf of the Board, T. (4) All the leading , hotels in Taranaki have made special tariff concessions to members. All you need to do is to present your membership card and obtain the concessions. You will save your subscription every year. Hotel concessions are being obtained throughout New Zealand, and your membership card entitles you to them also. (5) It is hoped to secure uniform bylaws in the towns. At present speed, limits, parking regulations,' etc., are different in every -town in Taraiiaki. (6) It is hoped to ameliorate the level crossing menace. (7) There are hundreds of motorists in South Taranaki and thousands of pounds invested ill private ears, and the time has arrived when motorists in the district should be organised into a strong body able to speak with authority on behalf of private car owners. (8) Help the association to advertise South Taranaki’s resources, scenic attractions and roads for next touring season. Intending members should send their names in to the Secretary— W. G.
