LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. BILLS PASSED. (by trleghat-h—pukss association.) WELLINGTON; Oct. 8. .The Legislative Council met at 2.30 p.m. to-day. The Land, and Income Tax ment Bill,, and- the Police Offences Amendment Bill were, put through their final stages and passed, the lastnamed with amendments proposed by the Statutes Revision Committee, including a new clause to the effect that it is an offence to publish unauthorised programmes relating to sport or entertainment. The Council adjourned at 4.5 p.m. until 2.30 p.m. to-morrow.
