BOUNTIFUL HARVEST.
AUSTRALIA’S WHEAT CROP. TWELVE BUSHELS TO THE ACRE. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received Oct. 9, 11 a.m. ADELAIDE, Oct. 9. As the result of splendid rains in September a good wheat harvest is expected. The Government Statistician estimates the yield at 30,411,000 bushels, an average of 12.3 bushels per acre, which may be increased or decreased according to the yield from the still somewhat uncertain western division.
