YOUNG MAN’S THEFT.
£247 STOLEN FROM HITT. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 8. David William Fisher pleaded guilty at the Magistrate’s Court to the theft of £247 from a hag left by James Tracey in his hut at Trentham racecourse. The accused, who is- only 18 years old, has been married for 18 months. He said he took the money to take his wife on a holiday owing to her health being had. He told 1 her his parents sent it. ' The money was spent mostly on the wife, who was ill, while they were- in Sydney. He was committed for sentence.
