At a meeting of managers of the Presbyterian Churc-h last night it was resolved that the position of organist and choirmaster he offered to MiClement Howe, of Wellington, and it is understood, he will accept. Mr Howe has been for seme time 'organist of the Taranaki Street Methodist Church, deputy conductor of the Harmonic Society, and has been connected with the Commercial Travellers’ Male Choir. His coining. to Hawera will be a distinct acquisition to the musical profession in the town.
