Mr. J. M. Glasson, who was secretary of the Hawera competitions, is leaving Hawera to-morrow morning for Christchurch. Mr. Glasson has not been very long in Hawera. but he has made a great many friends, whom he is sorry to leave. As secretary of the competitions Mr. Glasson did muc-h to make them a great success, but he says that he desires to express his appreciation of the help given by the Star in connection with his work'
