FRUIT CONTROL BILL.
A PROTEST. (BY TEIifiGUAPH —rUFOS 4SROCT 4 TTON i DUNEDIN, Oct. 3. Strong exception to the passing of the Fruit Control Bill was made by a deputation from the Otago Provincial Fruit-growers’ Council to the Expansion League. The greatest objection is to the representation; that of Nelson, which has two members, and the rest of the Dominion three. The Government had sanctioned a trust, and a speaker said it would tie them hand and foot to a board on which they shaved one representative with • Canterburv. It was decided to wire to the Minister of Agriculture. Mr. Massev. and every member for Otago and Southland declaring unalterable opposition to the Bill.
