Samuel Turner and Ernest Crabtree appeared at the Magistrate’s Court, Eltham, yesterday, before Mr A. M. Mowlem, S.M., charged with driving their cars in a manner dangerous to the public. The charges arose out of a motor collision at Kaponga recently. Mr J. Bayley appeared for Turner, and pleaded guilty, Mr J. L. Weir entering a plea of not guilty on behalf of Crabtree. After hearing evidence as to the speeds at which the cars were travelling, the magistrate found Turnerguilty of dangerous driving, and fined him £l. with £3 2s 6d costs.
