HAWERA BOXING ASSOCIATION
The committee of the above association held a well attended meeting recently, when it was decided to hold a tournament on Thursday, October 16. With their usual, keen attention to form, the association have been fortunate in securing for the star bout those two well-known welter weights, Nelson McKnight, of Hamilton, and Arthur Duggan, of Hawera. This should prove to be a great fight, as both boys are going strong and winning fights all over the country. For the other bouts the match committee Lave already neared some first-class performers, and also a lot of promising new hoys will be seen in action. The committee is to be commended on having decided to charge for this tournament a very, low pri..*- of admission, namely, wngside ss, stalls 3s. pit 2s. It is to ;-e hoped that the public will turn, up :'n large-numbers and so justify .fie action of the committee in ieducing the prices for admittance.
