FAREWELL TO JELLICOE.
————' 4 NELSON’S TRIBUTE. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.} NELSON, Sept. 26. The Governor-General (Viscount Jellicoe) was accorded a. civic reception today, various gatherings being largely attended, despite bad weather. His Excellency also, presented his tribute to the Ivon Duke Sea Scouts, and congratulated Nelson on having the champion Sea Scout troop in New Zealand. This afternoon Lord Jellicoe opened a scriptorium at , Nelson College, a massive brick building erected as a memorial to the old boys who fell in the war, and he unveiled a war memorial containing 120 names. It was mentioned that over six hundred old boys of Nelson College served in the war.
Lord Jellicoe returns to Wellington this evening.
