Theodore Roosevelt, Assistant Secretary of the Navy and a son of the former President, was nominated fo> the/Governorship of New York by the Republican State Convention. He had a majority over the combined votes of other three competitors, Colonel William Hayward, Guy Moore, / District Attorney, and Supreme Court Justice , Arthur Tomkins.
