——— LABOUR PROPOSALS, ENFORCEMENT OF STANDARD PRICES. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHI i Received Sept. 26, 10.35 a.m. . . LONDON, Sept. 25. Consideration of a scheme for bulk purchase and the transport of the principal commodities by the Government ; also the distribution of foodstuffs and other household supplies by the munic-ipalties and co-operative’ societies is one of the chief proposals the Labour Party’s executive is submitting to the annual Labour conference on November 7. The proposals also include the standardising, grading and marking of all commodities, where practicable, according lo quality and condition, with a view to enforcing standard prices. If the conference carries the proposal it will become a plank in the pair’s platform to which Cabinet will be committed. Other executive proposals are: Nationalisation of mines at the earliest possible date, a national scheme foi* electric power based on public ownership and control, and increased payment of unemployed.—Sydn'ej’ Son Cables.
