TAIHAPE, Sept. 25. Frank Iskerka, a- single-man, aged 36 years, whose mother is believed to reside in Palmerston North, was killed 'last-Alight at Tiriraukawa, 13 miles from Taihape, by a motor lorry driven by a man named Hughes going over a bank and capsizing, pinning the occupants of the lorry underneath. The others suffered shock only. An inquest was held to-day and adjourned. The cause of the accident is believed to be due to the‘dimming of the lights when the lorry was going around a sharp bend, causing the driver to go oven the hank instead of taking the, corner. HIGH SCHOOL BOY INJURED. GISBORNE, Sept, 25. James Martin, ; aged 14, ( High School pupil, sustained concussion by being accidentally struck on the; head by a 161 b shot with which the. boys were practicing for the annual; sports. MAN DROWNED IN RIVER, HOKITIKA, Sept. 25. Rudolph Louisich, a resident near the Maori pa at Arahura,. yesterday morning went on horseback to bring in cattle, having to cross a flooded branch of the Arahura river. The riderless horse and the cattle reached the farm at noon. A search resulted in the finding of the body on the sea beach •this morning. Deceased was aged about forty. -i
