The Births and Deaths Registration Bill was put through its final stages and passed.
In committee on the Engineers’ Registration Bill, an amendment was moved in the direction of an alteration of the age limitation for registration as an engineer from 24 years to 21 years, but the amendment was defeated by 21 votes to 7. The Bill was then read a third time and passed. The Council adjourned. at 4.30 p.m. until 2.30 .p.m. to-morrow.
